You have provided 15 scholarships to Small Nonprofits for 2020!
Three-quarters of American nonprofits have annual budgets under $1 million, and most are even smaller. Many of Arizona’s small nonprofits face a host of challenges to do more with less. What these organizations lack in size, however, they make up for in impact. They respond to localized needs, are absolutely critical to community building, and are staffed by people with deep knowledge and caring for the communities where they live and work.
In an effort to help these nonprofits be more equipped to address the challenges they face, the Alliance created a nonprofit scholarship program to provide nonprofits access to capacity building resources and tools.

Nonprofit Scholarship Fund - Program Criteria
Arizona nonprofit organizations who have obtained nonprofit status by filing with the IRS are eligible for the nonprofit scholarship program if they meet the following requirements:
- Nonprofit has a 501(c)(3) status
- Nonprofit has an operating annual budget under $100,000
- Nonprofit cannot have been an Alliance member in the last 5 years
*Applications for this free Nonprofit Scholarship Fund program opens January 2020 and will remain open through March 31 or until funds are depleted. Scholarships will be awarded to nonprofits on a first come, first served basis.

When we think of Arizona’s social sector, we must recognize our nonprofits’ economic strength, their leadership, and the tremendous value they bring to our community. Nonprofits are problem solvers, innovators, job creators, trusted advisors, major employers, and revenue generators. More than that, they are the connectors, links, and leaders that make our towns and cities true communities.
Before the Alliance of Arizona Nonprofits was formed in 2004, there was no unifying voice for the sector. Since then, we’ve been holding true to our mission to unite, strengthen and advance the nonprofit sector in Arizona.
As the state’s association for nonprofits, we also provide our 1,000+ members with access to important resources like training, education, information, business services and discounts, grant/fundraising opportunities, capacity building and more.
Membership in the Alliance is an investment in the Arizona nonprofit community and provides organizations and individuals with exclusive benefits and resources.
