Contingency Planning

    Nonprofit leaders/organizations should review their contingency plans (or develop plans) for unplanned issues that threaten to disrupt their vital work. Every organization should have a plan to react to unplanned, continuity-disrupting situations whether it is a public health issues, a natural disaster, or man-made event. While doing so, make sure to consider all involved: employees, stakeholders, and the organization. It is also helpful to think through your responses in terms of progressive levels of risk.

    The Alliance is providing the following information to help you consider each of these dimensions, and start taking action now to engage your team in mitigating personal and business risks.
