Last year we conducted a study to measure the significant role that nonprofits play in Arizona's economy. That report, "Arizona Nonprofits: Economic Power, Positive Impact" gave nonprofits a well-deserves status boost among businesses, government, and the general public.
This year we're taking the next step by widening the discussion to include an estimate of the Social Return on Investment generated by Arizona nonprofits. Recent focus groups in Flagstaff, Phoenix, Tucson, and Yuma built a foundation for the study, and we're now collecting data from individual nonprofits throughout the state.
You can help tell the story of social impact by participating in a brief online survey. Our goal with this survey is to better understand how people and places benefit from important work you do. Just answer a short series of questions for up to five programs or services your organization provided in 2016 and a few questions about your volunteers. And 25 Arizona nonprofits will win $100 just for completing this survey. Click Here to learn more about the $100 incentive opportunity.

The information you provide will help leaders in nonprofits, government, philanthropy, and our communities advance partnerships in policymaking, funding, and more.
- As a nonprofit leader, this study will help you plot your organizational trajectory in the context of broader industry trends.
- Elected officials and candidates for public office will better understand how nonprofit work is crucial to achieving common goals, and enable them to demonstrate their own commitment to the nonprofit community among voters.
- Business leaders will see nonprofits as viable partners in local and regional economic development.
- And grant makers will more confidently identify ways of maximizing their investments in the community.
In other words, the information you provide will help educate anyone with an interest in Arizona's nonprofit community about the real value of our work.
We hope that your organization will complete the online survey as quickly as possible. The more responses we get, the more accurately we'll be able to tell our story. And rest assured that your responses will remain strictly confidential and your organization will not be identified in the report.
We value your opinion and sincerely hope you can participate in our online survey.
