Daniela Saylor, caregiver services program manager at Duet, has been selected to participate in Hospice of the Valley’s Dementia Care Fellowship program for 2018.

Fifteen individuals were chosen, including nurses, educators, social service providers, physicians and other leaders who work with people with dementia. They and their respective organizations each will receive $5,000 to support a sustainable change project.

Daniela’s project will focus on creating a Spanish language resource for caregivers and families affected by dementia.

Hospice of the Valley is a not-for-profit provider of palliative and hospice care, caring for more than 18,000 a year in Maricopa and northern Pinal counties. The agency serves people at all stages of dementia.

Duet is a nonprofit, interfaith organization that promotes health and well-being through a broad range of services to homebound adults, family caregivers, faith communities and grandparents raising grandchildren. Duet’s free-of-charge services are available in the greater Phoenix area.
