Become a Member 

The Alliance of Arizona Nonprofits welcomes tax-exempt nonprofit organizations, individuals and corporations to join our effort to serve, support, promote and protect our state’s nonprofit sector. Under our Bylaws, the Alliance designates 1) nonprofit membership and 2) partner membership.

 

NONPROFIT MEMBERS

Nonprofit Members are those organizations qualified as tax-exempt under the Internal Revenue Code.

We offer an opportunity for nonprofits to become members under one of four Member categories: 1) Enrolling 2) Supporting, 3) Leading, and 4) Sustaining. All Members are eligible for the benefits, services, and rights of the Alliance under our Bylaws. Leading and Sustaining Members receive additional benefits and special recognition by the Alliance for their support in advancing and sustaining the work of the Alliance.

A nonprofit's annual operating budget determines the minimum level of membership. Be sure to check your organization's most recent IRS Form 990 for the budget that applies to the appropriate category below. 

Nonprofit Membership 2010 Fees:

for organizations with annual budgets under $250,000
   Enrolling      $ 80

for organizations with annual budgets between $250,000 & $999,999
   Supporting   $140

for organizations with annual budgets between $1 million & $5 million
   Leading        $330

for organizations with annual budgets over $5 million
   Sustaining    $630

Nonprofit Members are eligible for benefits, including several discount programs for products and services, and discounts on Alliance events. PARTNER MEMBERS


Partner Members are individuals and corporations with an interest in promoting and supporting the mission, values and purpose of the Alliance.

Partner Membership 2010 Fees:
   Individuals                                    $100
   Consultants (1 to 3 employees)       $150
   Consultants (up to 25 employees)   $300
   Government                                  $250
   Businesses                                    $500
   
Membership in the Alliance:
  • Demonstrates a commitment to support, serve, protect and promote the entire nonprofit sector in Arizona.
  • Shows leadership of the sector through support for strategies and capacity building that lifts the level of service of all nonprofits.
  • Acknowledges that nonprofits are critical community assets and collectively need to be strong to support healthy, vibrant communities.
  • Supports a strong voice for the nonprofit sector through a strong statewide Alliance.
  • Articulates that the nonprofit sector is a major player in economic development, representing 10% of Arizona’s economy and a larger workforce than government.


Your Membership will support:

  • development of workshops, convenings and services
  • scrutiny and monitoring of state legislation that may affect Arizona nonprofits
  • involvement of Arizona in Town Halls and participation in national activities through the National Council of Nonprofit Associations (NCNA)
  • creation of partnerships statewide to expand opportunities for collaboration that benefit nonprofits
  • representation of the sector in community initiatives and issues that enhance resources and support for nonprofits
