The Arizona voters passed Proposition 206 in 2016 by a two to one margin. Media focus has been on the increase in the minimum wage. However, that is only one-third of the new law. The other two-thirds contains the mandate, for the first time in Arizona, for paid sick leave for all employees; the machinery to enforce the leave; and severe penalties for noncompliance. While minimum wage is in effect now, Earned Paid Sick Time goes into effect July 1. Think you have it covered? Odds are you do not. Attend our webinar/seminar to learn more.
